Where the GDPR requires safeguards for an international transfer, the relevant transfer must rely on an appropriate legal mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards.

14. How long we keep personal data

We do not keep personal data longer than reasonably necessary for the reason it was collected, unless a longer period is required by law.

For example:

  • Order, invoice and core accounting records may generally be kept for at least seven years where required by Dutch tax and accounting law.
  • Customer-account information may be kept for as long as the account or relevant customer relationship remains active, subject to legal retention obligations.
  • Customer-support messages are kept for as long as reasonably necessary to answer the enquiry, maintain relevant records or handle possible disputes.
  • Newsletter information may be kept until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent, while limited information may be retained where necessary to respect your opt-out.
  • Affiliate application information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to assess and administer the application.
  • Affiliate programme records may be kept for the duration of the affiliate relationship and for any additional period required for financial, legal or dispute-related reasons.
  • Cookie and technical information is retained according to the purpose and settings of the relevant technology.

When information is no longer needed, we aim to delete, anonymise or securely dispose of it.

Dutch tax rules generally require core business administration to be retained for seven years.

15. Your privacy rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to:

Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that lawfully took place before consent was withdrawn.

We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

If you are in the Netherlands, you can also lodge a complaint with the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

These rights, including access, correction and deletion, form part of the rights provided under the AVG.

16. Security

Healing Mental Health takes reasonable organisational and technical measures to protect personal data from unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.

No website or online system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

If we become aware of a personal-data breach, we will assess and handle it in accordance with applicable data-protection law.

17. Children

Our website and digital products are not designed for the purpose of collecting personal data directly from young children.

Purchases and affiliate applications are subject to the eligibility requirements stated on the relevant page or in the applicable terms.

If you believe that a child has provided personal data to Healing Mental Health inappropriately, please contact us so that we can review the situation.

18. Third-party websites

Our website may contain links to websites or services operated by other organisations.

Healing Mental Health does not control the privacy practices of independent third parties. Their own privacy policies apply when you interact with their websites or services.
